From Craig Morley....
Good afternoon gentlemen. It has come to my attention, that our regular distributer of information is off on a week holiday, so I am hoping this reaches everyone. Last Sundays game in Hamilton proved to be exciting. With thunderstorms looming in the distance, the match got under way. 30 minutes into the game, the match was halted, as lightning flashed all around the park. After a 20 minute delay, the match resumed, with the score tied 1-1. After another 5 minutes of play, the storm returned with a vengeance. with the game again halted, we waited out the storm. At 2:30 and the combatants beginning to stiffen up, the game was called. Mother nature 1, rugby nil. The drive home, in the hail proved interesting, hope Steve brooks on his bike made it home in one piece.
This Thursday we are having a match with the Burlington Centaur's 3rds. Kickoff is 7pm; but lets get there early to take advantage of the light. Touch will be run in the end zone for those who wish to do so. Speaking of touch, this Sunday we do not have a game, but Nick Parks and Mr. Blosca, have suggested we should have a touch run around in Burlington. Come out and get some exercise. Sunday July 6th. we are hosting a Nobs vs. the World game, and Friday July 11th at 6pm; we are playing soccer. The game is in Burlington, somewhere on the vast fields of Sherwood Forest, and after the game we will host our opposition, with a small match fee to off set our costs. See you Thursday, Da Thug
